UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the airstrikes targeting civilians in Idlib in northwestern Syria, especially those on medical facilities and medical workers.
Guterres said, in a statement broadcast by Sky News channel, that many of these facilities were bombed.
He confirmed the need to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities, stressing that those who commit serious violations of international humanitarian law must be held accountable.
Nearly two months since the beginning of the Syrian army's ground operation, fighting in the Idlib is still concentrated in northwest of Hama.
