United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all parties in Syria to commit to protecting civilians in accordance with international.
This came in statements made by Guterres to reporters on Thursday, commenting on the situation in Syria, according to the official website of the United Nations.
“I would like to say a few words about the dangerous and dramatic developments in Syria that are unfolding before our eyes,” Guterres said.
He added: "I just spoke with Turkish President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan to discuss the latest developments. I stressed the urgent need for immediate humanitarian aid to reach all civilians."
