Today, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees said that the number of people who fled to Sudan due to Northern Ethiopia conflicts exceeded 20,000.
According to UNHCR, more than 12,500 people crossed from Addis Ababa to the Hamdiyat area, and nearly 7,500 people crossed to the south in Lakdi between 7 and 14 November.
Local humanitarian and UN agencies are trying to help the refugees who are arriving in increasing numbers with no possessions or supplies.
