Adel Abdel Latif, Director of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation and Human Development Adviser, said on Tuesday that the Human Development Report in Egypt was prepared by a group of independent researchers, and does not represent the opinion of the Egyptian government or the opinion of the United Nations Development Program, as it seeks to provide knowledge and experience to present important issues for the society.
During his speech in the launching ceremony for the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) report on human development in Egypt for 2021, Abdel Latif added that president Sisi’s participation in the conference is an important indicator of the political leadership’s commitment to the development, not only in its economic dimension, but also in its human rights one, stressing that the report creates a future vision that its importance goes beyond Egyptian borders.
"This report places Egypt in the first rank in the world as the only developing country that has issued this number of reports since 1994", He added.
