UMS Releases Statement over Al-Ahly, Al Zamalek Channels Dispute

The United Media Services (UMS) corporation released a statement, on Thursday, over the dispute related to Al-Ahly and Al Zamalek clubs channels, and the methodology of moderating both channels.

The corporation said that the UMS board of directors held a meeting with the boards of the operating agencies of both channels, and examined together the latest sparked controversy between both, therefore, the corporation decided to hand the operation of the two channels to the directors of both clubs.

Under the new announced decision in the statement, the operation of Al-Ahly and Al-Zamalek channels will be handled by the two clubs or their representatives.

The UMS asserted in its statement that it will continue supporting all Egyptian clubs, and sports nationwide, in addition, it asserted that the corporation is against any media discourse that reflects discriminations and anti-sports-manner discourse.
