Ukraine “Left Alone” to Fight Russia- Zelensky

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that "Ukraine is left alone in the protection of its state, and the West is only talking about its support."

He added in a speech to Ukrainians via Telegram at dawn Friday that he "has not left Kyiv and is with other government officials in Kyiv."

US President Joe Biden pledged support for Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia during a phone call on Thursday with Zelensky, the White House said.

Zelensky received warnings from Biden that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is now “virtually certain” once the ground freezes and that Kyiv needs to “prepare for impact.”

He said: "I am in the capital and with my people ..." I am in the government district with everyone who is necessary for the work of the central government."

He continued, "Today we heard from Moscow that they want to talk about the neutral status of Ukraine... We are not afraid of Russia, we are not afraid to talk with Russia, we are not afraid to talk about everything, about the security guarantees of our state, and we are not afraid to talk about a neutral situation."

He added, "We are not in NATO now, but what guarantees will we get in?"

Zelensky announced that at least 137 Ukrainians were killed Thursday, the first day of the Russian operation and that 316 others were wounded in the fighting.
