Ukraine: 21,600 Russian Soldiers Killed Since Invasion

The Ukrainian forces have killed 21,000 Russian soldiers, since the start of the invasion, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The statement said that the Ukrainian forces also destroyed 854 tanks, 2,205 armored combat vehicles, 403 artillery systems, 143 multiple-launch missile systems, and 69 anti-aircraft systems," according to the Ukrainian National News Agency "Ukrinform".

"The losses also included 177 aircraft, 154 helicopters, 1,543 vehicles, 8 boats, 76 fuel tanks, 182 drones, 27 special equipment units, and 4 mobile systems for short-range ballistic missiles." The statement added.

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the death of a large number of Russian soldiers in the war, describing it as a "great tragedy for us." He did not announce a specific number.

On March 25, the Russian General Staff announced the killing of 1,351 Russian soldiers and the wounding of 3,825 others, in what it calls a "special operation" in Ukraine.

It is not possible to verify the numbers of both parties to the dispute from independent sources.
