The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash has commented on the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Mustapha Adib's resignation from his post on Saturday.
Gargash said via Twitter: "The logic of the state, its institutions, and its efficiency does not match the logic of the militias and their interests, an Arab lesson that is repeated."
Adib announced in a speech from Baabda Palace earlier today that he apologized for not continuing the task of forming the government.
He said: “The political consensus to form the government in Lebanon no longer exists.”
