Two Egyptians Featured in AFCON Phase 2 Squad

The CAF Committee announced the line-up for the phase 2 most prominent players squad in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), which feature two Egyptians. The Egyptians featured are captain Ahmed El-Mohammady and goal keeper Mohamed El-Shennawi.

Goalkeeper: Mohamed El Shennawi (Egypt)

Defenders: Ahmed Mohammady (Egypt) Josiah Omereo (Nigeria) Razakanatinania (Madagascar) Halanti (South Africa).

Midfield: Percy Tao (South Africa) Lillemeltra (Madagascar) Samasiku (Mali) Karuru (Zimbabwe).

Attack: Yousef Al-Nasiri (Morocco) Olunga (Kenya).

The Group A matches will be held on Sunday with Egypt, Uganda at the Cairo Stadium, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with Zimbabwe in Air Defense stadium at 9:00 p.m.

At the Alexandria Stadium, Nigeria will face off against Madagascar, while Guinea and Burundi will meet at the Sallam Stadium at 6 pm.
