His Majesty King Mohamed VI of Morocco completed two decades of rule in the country, a period in which Morocco achieved unprecedented political and constitutional reforms.

He did a breakthrough in the field of political openness, establishment of community security and strengthening of institutions.

In the last 20 years, Morocco has succeeded to go forward and cope with internal and regional developments.

There is no wonder that this exception of rule contributes to having public policies able to be renewed and accept constructive self-criticism.

This is reflected in the speech of His Majesty on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his accession to the throne. The speech was delivered on Monday.

The King decided to establish a committee to be in charge of “development model”, taking into account the composition of different disciplines of knowledge and intellectuals. The committee also has to pay attention to embrace patriotic competencies in both public and private sectors that meet expertise and impartiality standards.

It’s expected that this committee will take into consideration the major reforms that have been or will be adopted in different sectors, such as education, health, agriculture, investment and the tax system.

Suggestions will be made on improving and improving their effectiveness.

"We Hope that the committee will proceed with its work impartially and objectively and give us the truth, even if it is harsh or painful” said King Mohamed VI. “The committee’s members should be courageous and innovative in proposing solutions.”

At the same time, His Majesty called on the government to begin preparing a new generation of major sectorial plans, based on integration and harmony, which will constitute a pillar of the development model in its new form.

It is well-known that commitment and responsibility in managing public affairs and responding to citizens' concerns are elements of the success of any internal or external policy of the country.

Indeed, Morocco imposed itself as a vital actor in both political and diplomatic arenas and in economic, social, cultural fields and the multidimensional development too.

For centuries, Morocco has been a liaison linking between Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa.

Besides, the Kingdom of Morocco has been playing a comprehensive role in boosting Islam as a moderate religion. It has a significant role in teaching dozens of Muslim clerics in Arab, African and Western countries according to the Maliki Doctrine.

The Kingdom has been a land of spiritual influence and an attraction which contributes to educating African scholars.

Morocco has presented a moderate religious model based on the accepted pillars of the private and public. The Maliki doctrine has spread in many African countries and countries.

African countries have also been influenced by Arabic writing and Moroccan calligraphy. The writings of Moroccan scholars have also been widely accepted in hearts and minds.

To confirm this strong relationship, His Majesty the late Hassan II used a metaphor for the historical relationship between Morocco and Africa, describing the Kingdom as a tree rooted in Africa and the branches are fluttering high in Europe.

For more than 15 years, I have referred, in my articles, to the influence of human beings in building states and institutions. In addition, I have repeatedly mentioned to the “inside-outside” equation which I believe in its necessity in fostering successful foreign policies.

Historically, Moroccan character was behind empowering present politicians and public figures. This unique character has been contributing to upgrading Morocco’s successful diplomatic level regionally and globally too.

In a seminar dedicated to the Safran Company board directors, I referred to that character and its characteristics in order to let them understand the Moroccan integrity internationally and regionally.

PS: Safran S.A. is a French multinational aircraft engine, rocket engine, aerospace-component and defense company.
