Turkish parliament witnessed, Thursday, a clash and a fist fight among deputies of the Republican People's Party, which rules Justice and Development Party, according to Al-Ain News.

The Parliament Turns into Battle Field

This came during a speech by Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül, during the discussion of the general budget allocated to his ministry in the year 2021.

The clash between the two parties led to suspending the session for some time.

This happened during Gül’s speech about human rights, the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, and his criticism of them, which has pushed one of the representatives of the Republican people to go to the platform in growing anger.

Sezgin Tanrıkulu, MP in the Turkish Grand Assembly with the Republican People's Party (CHP), shouted at Gül asking him where he was when they lifted the immunity of CHP MP Enis Berberoğlu.

Earlier, the ruling regime dropped Berberoğlu's membership in Parliament, accusing him of leaking information and pictures to opposition media, about the Turkish intelligence service (MIT) that transfers weapons by truck to Syria.

Following that, one of the representatives of the Justice and Development party battled with the representative of the Republican People, and another number of the ruling party deputies intervened to widen the circle of clash between the two parties.

Some deputies intervened to resolve the quarrel and prevent any turns of the events, demanding a rest period and suspending the session, before parliament resumed its work.

The public has been watching such quarrels live during parliament sessions in light of the state of political tension and polarization.

It is believed that the ruling party has always tended to rule alone without activating the rule of law and democracies.
