Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said that his country will not participate in Western sanctions against Moscow over the period to come.
The Turkish official made it clear, according to what was reported by the Russian "TASS" news agency, that Ankara will not participate in the Western sanctions imposed on Russia, and that the Western measures have proven ineffective, in addition to that Ankara's participation in them will harm the Turkish economy more than it harms Moscow.
Kalin continued, saying that the measures taken by the West against Moscow so far have not been effective, as they did not change the Russian position, and did not give the Ukrainians an opportunity to achieve a decisive military victory.
It is worth noting Western countries along with dozens of states across the world hurried to impose sanctions on Russia following the Russian special military operation in Ukraine late in February last year.
