A security source in Ankara said that Turkey has decided not to participate in the "Tiger Meeting" exercise, which will be conducted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Greece next month due to a "provocative" action by Athens.
The sources added that Turkey informed the host country of its decision, which was taken on the 22nd of this month, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency on Saturday.
The agency said that Athens took advantage of its differences with Ankara and targeted Turkey by making changes to the technical regulations for training, which are inconsistent with international law. Since Turkey's applications were not accepted, it withdrew from participation.
The " Tiger Meeting " training is a NATO initiative that seeks to strengthen solidarity between the allied air forces.
That training conducted annually in different countries, and this year is scheduled for the period from 2 to 9 May.
