Tunisia Confirms 1st Coronavirus Case

Tunisia registered on Monday the first coronavirus case, according to the Tunisian Health Ministry.

Tunisian Health Minister Abdellatif Mekki said tests for the COVID-19 virus for a Tunisian man admitted to a hospital have come out positive.

The infected case, 40, was in Italy for work and returned today.

It is worth noting that Italy confirmed a 50% increase in the number of reported cases, as 1,694 cases were confirmed today, up from 1,128 confirmed cases on Saturday besides 34 people had died.

According to CNN, Italy has the most coronavirus cases of any country outside of Asia.
