In a bid to remove restrictions on his freedom of expression and connect easily with his followers through social media, the former President of US Donald Trump’s team quietly will launch his own new social media platform soon.
According to international media, Mr. Trump is hoping to make his new social media platform (TRUTH Social) an alternative to Big Tech sites and aiming to honor the promise that he made to his fans.
TRUTH Social also aims to compete with Big Tech companies such as Twitter and Facebook that have barred him from their platforms, according to Trump’s team.
The renowned businessman and politician pledged that his new app would be promoting common sense, defending free speech, challenging social media monopolies, and creating a true marketplace of ideas.”
"TRUTH Social will protect every person from hindrance in the enjoyment of his freedom of expression," the former president revealed.
In a statement, Trump said: "I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I'm excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech."
It's worth mentioning that the censorship by renowned social media firms such as Facebook and Twitter has amounted to a lot of restrictions on Trump's freedom of expression and handicapped his posts after the latest presidential election the took place last year.
