U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, should not wrongfully claim the presidency. Trump said that the legal process for counting mail-in ballots is "just the beginning."
In a Tweet, Trump added that Biden must not "wonderfully claim" the office of the President. "I may make that claim as well. Legal proceedings are just beginning!"
As Democratic leader Biden approached 270 votes to make it to the White House, Trump said that his administration was going to fight to ensure that the Democrats do not falsely declare a president.
He added that the vote count was unfair and requested the intervention of the Republican ballot observer and the Supreme Court. He added that his leadership in some states had "miraculously" disappeared "after" unlawful ballots".
Trump tweeted: “I had such a big lead in all of these states late into election night, only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days went by. Perhaps these leads will return as our legal proceedings move forward!”
Joe Biden should not wrongfully claim the office of the President. I could make that claim also. Legal proceedings are just now beginning!
