During his visit to Qatar, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the Emir of the State of Qatar and his wife for the warm hospitality."
Trump emphasized,"I am honored to be the first U.S. President to visit the State of Qatar. The Emir of Qatar is the one who made this country proud of all the achievements that have been accomplished."
"You have done an excellent job regarding the accomplishments achieved in your country," he added.
Trump also commended Qatar’s role in securing the release of the last living American hostage, saying,"The State of Qatar succeeded in negotiating the release of the last living American hostage, Eyadain Alexander."
He highlighted the strength of bilateral ties, adding, "Our relations with Qatar have reached the highest levels in history. Qatar and the United States have strong ties, and we expect them to grow even stronger."
On regional matters, Trump stated, "We are trying to reach an agreement with Iran, but they need to speed up the process."
