On Monday, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech amid the final rally in Georgia. Also, he hoped that Mike Pence “comes through for us.”
Trump meant with his words his hopes to witness his victory regarding the counting of the electoral votes.
“I hope that our great vice president, our great vice president comes through for us. He’s a great guy, because if he doesn’t come through, I won’t like him quite as much.”
Several reports indicated that there is no information highlighted regarding the role of Pence in blocking the latest presidential elections results.
"It is not clear what Pence could do in his role. Past incumbent vice presidents like Al Gore in 2001 and Richard Nixon in 1961, have presided over such ceremonies and have faced the bittersweet moment of affirming the victories of their campaign rivals. Pence will have the same task of announcing the names of Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the winners," according to Ted Johnson, the Deadline website.
Furthermore, Trump attacked the democrats through his speech in Georgia, "I’m going to be here in a year and a half, campaigning against your governor and your crazy secretary of state," the president asserted. He continued, "We are not going to let Georgia go to radical socialists."
Also, he highlighted, "The Democrats are trying to steal the White House, you cannot let them… David and Kelly are running against the most extreme liberal candidates in the history of your state, probably in the history of your country.”
Trump's role in supporting the republican participants in the US Senate's elections in Georgia could be the last major role for Trump before leaving the White House.
