Tourism Ministry Participates in WTM Latin America Int’l Fair in Brazil Next April

On Monday, Ahmed Issa, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, presided over the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, at the Ministry's headquarters in Zamalek.

Issa started the meeting by welcoming the members of the Council and reviewing the latest developments in the tourism sector in Egypt.

He also indicated that there is great satisfaction with the major international institutions operating in the Egyptian market, especially in light of the ministry's vision of cooperation with the private tourism sector and the support provided by the Egyptian state to it.

He pointed out that the ministry's role is to monitor, organize and motivate the tourism industry in Egypt and supervise some public spending programs that are designed based on coordination with the private sector.

During the meeting, Amr Al-Qadi, the CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, presented a presentation in which he reviewed the most important activities carried out by the Authority during the months of January and February 2023.

He also referred to the new promotional campaign for Egypt, which was launched by the ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, during the current month in the main markets targeted by the ministry, under the title "Your Expectations are History."

Al-Qadi added that during the coming period, tactical campaigns will be launched to promote tourism products and specific Egyptian tourist destinations.

He also talked about the internal tourism events in which the authority participates, such as exhibitions and conferences held in Egypt, including sponsoring the 30th edition of the Egyptian International Marathon and sponsoring a number of artistic events such as the Luxor African Film Festival.

He also reviewed the activities of the authority's internal tourism offices by organizing seminars and workshops to enhance tourism and archaeological awareness among various groups of society.
