On Tuesday, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa met his Italian counterpart Daniela Santanchè during his ongoing short visit to Italy's capital, Rome.
The meeting addressed ways of joint cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the field of tourism and boosting more tourist traffic from the Italian market to Egypt.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the Ministry’s policies to develop the tourism industry in Egypt and improve the tourism experience in the Egyptian tourist destination.
He also showcased all the supportive measures that the state and the ministry take to support global partners, including tour operators and airlines.
The measures include the Aviation Incentive Program, which the Ministry has extended to April, implementing joint marketing campaigns, and organizing a group of Fam Trips to Egyptian tourist destinations.
The Minister asserted the importance of the Italian market as one of the main markets exporting tourist traffic to Egypt.

The Minister expressed his eagerness for more tourist flow from Italy to Egypt.
For her part, the Italian Minister stressed the interest and love of Italian tourists for the Egyptian tourist destination, noting that there is no change in the position towards Egypt.
The meeting also discussed several proposals that would contribute to driving more tourist traffic from Italy to Egypt.
From the Egyptian side, the meeting was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Bassam Rady, Professor Youmna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Affairs of the Minister’s Office, and Mohamed Farag, the tourism attaché at the Egyptian Tourist Office in Berlin, Germany, and the administrative and financial supervisor of the tourism offices in Russia and Italy and their supervisory countries.
