Indian media said that the tomato influenza virus is spreading in some states of India after 26 cases were recently discovered in the eastern state of Odisha, which aroused the interest of health authorities.
And the Indian newspapers added that the enterovirus that affects children and is rare among adults has appeared at the beginning of this month in some southern states, such as “Kerala”.
The virus causes a rash on the hands, mouth, and feet with high body temperature and dehydration among children in the age group between five and nine.
The Indian media indicated that the highly contagious disease requires isolation of the patient for a period that ranges from five days to a week, but it is not a serious disease and is easy to cure if treated.
