British actor, Tom Holland announced Monday his arrival in Atlanta to start filming the sequel to "Spider-Man: Far From Home", which marks his third movie as the web-slinging superhero.
Holland shared the update in a series of videos posted to his Instagram Story.
The actor recently shared on the platform the first look at his videogame character, Nathan Drake, another blockbuster movie for Sony Pictures, the movie adaptation of "Uncharted", which he started filming back in July.
The new “Spider-Man” installment is made by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. It features Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the mentor role that was previously occupied by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), and by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
The movie will also feature Jamie Foxx returning as Electro, who starred in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which starred Andrew Garfield as the web-slinging hero at that time.
Jon Watts, who directed both “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, is set to direct the third installment.
The movie will also feature most of the supporting cast from the previous installments, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Jacob Batalon.
Cumberbatch and Holland collaborated for the first time in 2018’s Marvel movie, “Avengers: Infinity War”.
“Spider-Man 3” is slated for release on December 17, 2021.
