As we celebrate Eid al-Adha this year, it coincides with the peak of summer heatwaves. Whether you plan to stay at home, visit parks, or travel, here are some tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable Eid during this extended holiday.

Eid is a wonderful time for social visits and outdoor activities. To avoid the intense sun, plan your park visits early in the morning, starting around 8 AM, or in the late afternoon, about an hour before sunset. During these times, the sun's rays are less direct and harmful.

If you’re planning to travel, choose destinations with a beach. Egypt boasts numerous beautiful beaches where you can enjoy the sea breeze. Remember to avoid direct sun exposure between noon and 4 PM.

Opt for loose, light-colored cotton clothing. Wearing a hat or cap can also help reduce the impact of the sun’s rays on your head.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day, separate from juices and other beverages. Your body needs pure water to perform essential functions. Taking multiple showers can also help keep your body cool and hydrated.

Incorporate plenty of fruits into your meals to keep your body hydrated and help eliminate toxins. Including a salad with your meals provides essential minerals and nutrients. Avoid heavy and spicy foods that can increase your body temperature.

With the extreme heat outside and air-conditioned environments inside, it's important to transition carefully to avoid sudden temperature changes, which can lead to colds or other health issues.
