Thousands of people took to the streets of the Austrian capital, Vienna, today, Saturday, to protest against the restrictions imposed by the government against the backdrop of the Corona pandemic, according to “Novosti”  a Russian agency.

Today, Vienna is witnessing several demonstrations against the restrictions of Corona, the largest of which took place in the squares in the city center.

Although its organizers called on the protesters to wear masks, many of them did not respond to this call. The demonstrators carry slogans such as "Hands off our children", "Compulsory vaccination is a dictatorship", "The virus will live after vaccination, and what about us?", "Professors against vaccination", "The body is my body and I decide.

The protesters demand the resignation of the government.

And last Saturday, 40,000 people participated in similar protests in Vienna, according to police statistics, while the organizers of the demonstrations estimated the number of participants at 100,000.

On November 22, the Austrian authorities imposed a new general closure due to the Coronavirus, which ends tomorrow, Sunday, for those receiving the vaccine and those recovering from “COVID-19”, but it remains in effect for those who are not vaccinated.

It is expected that on February 1, a law requiring mandatory vaccination of all residents of Austria over the age of 14 will enter into force, and non-compliance will be punished with a fine of 3.6 thousand euros.
