Press and diplomatic sources reported yesterday, Sunday, that the Yemeni Houthis (known also as Ansar Allah) had seized the ship "Galaxy Leader", with 22 people on board.
Meanwhile, Israeli sources said that the Houthis seized a ship partly owned by an Israeli company, adding that there were no Israelis on board the ship.
Before talking about the seized ship, the military spokesman for the Houthi group in Yemen announced an important statement that would be issued “in the coming hours.”
According to media reports, there are 50 people on board the ship, and members of the Ansar Allah Houthi group are interrogating them.
This statement stated that 25 of the crew members of this ship were from Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Philippines, and Mexico, and there were no Israelis on this ship.
The statement revealed that the ship was seized in international waters away from the coast of Yemen.
