“The Witches” Movie Release Date on HBO Max Announced

“The Witches” is an upcoming fantasy and comedy movie based on the 1983 novel by Roald Dahl. The movie is directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis, Guillermo del Toro and Kenya Barris.

The movie is also the second adaptation of the novel after the 1990 film with the same name. “The Witches” stars Anne Hathaway as the Grand High Witch, Octavia Spencer as Grandmother and Stanley Tucci as Mr. Stringer. It also stars Chris Rock, Jahiz Kadeem Bruno, Codie-Lei Eastick, and Kristin Chenoweth.

The movie was originally set for theatrical release by Warner Bros. Pictures but was pulled from the release calendar because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The Witches” trailer was released earlier this week and It was announced that the movie would be available for streaming on HBO Max on October 22nd before its theatrical release on October 28th.

Also, both Anne Hathaway and Octavia spencer showed their excitement about the movie by posting the trailer on their personal Instagram accounts.
