After the screening of their documentary show on Netflix, the Sussexes were urged to stay away from the Coronation of King Charles III that will take place next year.

A poll revealed that nearly half of the British people believe that the Sussexes should be stripped of their titles, in addition, 42% of the poll's participants believe that Prince Harry should be removed from the line of succession.

The first episodes of the show contained Harry’s claims of ‘unconscious bias’ regarding race in the Royal Family; the description of the late Queen’s Commonwealth as ‘Empire 2.0’; and Meghan’s ostentatious parody of a curtsey.

Former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith said: "If they dislike the Royal Family so much why would they attend the Coronation?"

Tory veteran David Mellor responded to the claims by the Sussexes: "They shouldn’t come to the Coronation. They categorically shouldn’t come.

They make money out of selling their family down the river. I think it should be made clear that the British people do not want them there."

He also recommended that people "would be perfectly entitled to boo if the couple did turn up," continuing: "They are a sad pair and there is no hope for them on their current course."

Lady Antonia Fraser who is a historian and author, commented: "I hope they don’t come because I want the King and Queen to be the centre of attention. It worries me that if they come the cameras might waste time on them. They should stay holding hands in Hollywood."
