“The Simpsons” producer Al Jean indicated that his hit show “predicted the future” once again after Donald Trump announced that he would run for the U.S. President in 2024.
Al Jean tweeted a still from an episode seven years ago, featuring Homer Simpson with a presidential campaign sign reading “Trump 2024.” “@TheSimpsons As predicted in 2015,” he wrote.
Trump made his campaign announcement after several months of speculation on whether or not he would seek the Presidency for the third time.
“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump stated. “America’s golden age is just ahead.”
This is not the first time “The Simpsons” has allegedly predicted the future.
According to the show, they predicted the death of the UK’s Queen Elizabeth as well as the resignation of embattled British Prime Minister Liz Truss.
