RCC Organizes Egyptian, Russian Round-table to Confront Extremism

The Russian Cultural Center (RCC) in Cairo, headed by Aleksey Tevanyan is set to organize a roundtable entitled (Confronting Extremist Thought between the Egyptian Experience and Russian Religious Administrations) next Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

The dialogue will be moderated by Sherif Gad, director of cultural activity at the center.

The event will be attended by Dr. Noah Abdel Halim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments for Mosques and the Holy Qur’an Affairs, Dr. Magdy Ashour, Academic Adviser to Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti, Dr. Ahmed Mamdouh, Director of the Sharia Research Department and Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa.

Moreover, Rawil Gaynutdin, the Grand Mufti of Moscow, Dr. Ruslan Sayyov, Vice President of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy, along with a number of specialists and members of the Association of Alumni of Russian and Soviet Universities will take part in the event.
