Yesterday, Friday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced the entry of an international medical team into the Gaza Strip, along with 6 trucks loaded with medical materials and water purification supplies to support medicine in the Strip.
The ICRC said in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Russia Today (RT), "A war surgery team and a weapons contamination specialist arrived yesterday. They are among 10 experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross who entered, along with 6 trucks carrying medical materials and water purification supplies."
The committee added that the arrival of the new team would enhance the ability to continue supporting hospitals, performing life-saving surgeries, helping people who are most in need of clean drinking water, and contributing to the reunification of the families of released hostages in the future.
The ICRC stated that this crucial humanitarian assistance is a small dose of relief, but it is not enough.
It indicated that the surgical team and medical supplies will help relieve the intense pressure on doctors and nurses in Gaza, stressing the need for safe and sustainable humanitarian access throughout Gaza.
