Dr. Diaa Zahran, Head of the Central Administration of Antiquities of Cairo and Giza, visited the Citadel Antiquities area to check on the discipline of work progress, the smoothness of tourist movement in the area, and the commitment of antiquities inspectors, security observers, and money exchangers to controls.
Dia Zahran confirmed that there was a large influx of visitors to the region on the second day of Eid, as the number of visitors reached about 6,000 visitors.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Supreme Council of Antiquities, has formed an operations room from the various sectors of the Council to follow up on the progress of work and receive visitors at various museums and archaeological sites across the Republic, during the days of Eid al-Fitr, starting from Tuesday, corresponding to the 9th, until Sunday, corresponding to the 14th of April. .
