The Judo Federation received a delegation from Japan's Tenri University to discuss cooperation
The Japanese delegation included Hnadayat Daemen, Deputy Director of JICA Japan Center and Foundation, Anae Takamasa, Technical Director of the Judo Team at Tenri University, Omegaki Shinsuke, JICA Program Officer, Adachi Masofumi, Tenri University Program Officer, and Kato Keni, Principal Officer of JICA.
On the part of the Egyptian Federation, Marzouq Ali, President of the Federation, Hossam Awadallah, Vice President of the Federation, and Mohamed Rashwan, the Egyptian judo player, attended.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation through organizing mutual camps and sending a volunteer trainer from Tenri University, Japan, to participate in the development of Egyptian judo and organize seminars periodically for trainers to develop their level.
The Japanese delegation visited the camp of the Egyptian judo team and it was agreed to organize other visits and exchange of camps between the two parties during the coming period, in addition to the visit of some Japanese judo coaches to Egypt
The university delegation confirmed that the national team camp at the Olympic Center in Maadi is qualified to host various teams and championships.
The Judo Federation signed a prior cooperation agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan Judo Federation and the Japanese Embassy in Egypt to develop the game in Egypt and raise the level of Egyptian national teams
