On Monday, the Israeli army announced the activation of a plan to evacuate residents of 28 settlements who live up to 2 km from the border with Lebanon.
The army said on its website: “The National Emergency Authority of the Ministry of Defense and the Israeli army announce the launch of a plan to evacuate residents of the north, who live up to two kilometers from the Lebanese border.”
The website added: "The plan has been approved by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The northern command in the Israeli army informed the council heads of the decision a short time ago. The program will be managed by local authorities, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Defense."
It is noteworthy that the tension on the border between Lebanon and Israel began with the launch of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on Saturday, October 7, when the Lebanese “Hezbollah” announced “the killing of 3 of its members” as a result of Israeli bombing and military operations.
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced a number of deaths among its ranks following armed clashes and bombing from Lebanon.
