The “Enty ElAham.” Initiative aims to educate the people about the importance of following the social distancing and precautionary protocols to protect their health especially during the election.
Dr. Amr Hassan, the founder of the “Enty ElAham” Initiative and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at ElKasr ElAiny announced that the turnout for the Senate elections reflects the level of awareness of the Egyptian women seeing as this election is an important stage in the Egyptian political life.
Hassan added that according to the Enty ElAham volunteers.. there is a huge turnout especially from the women who are eager to vote and participate in the elections. The Senate voting stage started this morning and will continue till tomorrow. The founder pointed that the return of the Egyptian parliament’s second chamber is an important step in the political life seeing as the Senate specializes in studying proposals to develop the democratic systems, support the social peace and the basic constituents of the society including its higher values, freedoms and public duties.
Hassan added that the launching of a campaign concurrently with the senate elections aims to raise awareness about the importance of the participation in the political life as well as the woman’s role in the different political and social aspects. The Egyptian woman is an established partner in the political life.
Hassan confirmed that a number of volunteers helped facilitate the elections for the voters by supervising the voters’ entry and achieving the social distancing as well as spreading the coronavirus precautionary measures and giving away sanitizers and vitamins to strengthen the immunity.
