It’s no secret that we all want that tight and toned stomach but it’s really important to acknowledge the fact that how we look is 80 % what we eat and 20 % exercise. So, by following a healthy diet, working out regularly and adding these five exercises to your workout, you’re definitely on the right track towards that flat tummy you want.
Now, onto the exercises :
1.Plank
The plank is an isometric core strength exercise that involves maintaining a position similar to a push-up for the maximum possible time. It is also one of the few exercises, which works all of your core muscles (Abdominals and Back muscles.)
2. Crunch:
It is one of the most popular abdominal exercises. It involves the entire abs but primarily works your upper abs and it also works the obliques.
It’s a great exercise to both build a six-pack and tighten your belly.
3. Leg Raises:
It is a strength training exercise that targets the anterior hip flexors but since the abdominal muscles are used isometrically to stabilize the body; leg raises are often used to strengthen the lower abs as well as the internal and external oblique muscles.
4. Russian Twist:
It’s an exercise used to work the obliques by performing a twisting motion on the abdomen. The exercise is also used to build explosiveness in the upper torso.
5. Inchworm to side plank:
A total body move targets and engages your core while increasing your balance and stability throughout your hip and shoulder complex.
Make sure to do each exercise a minimum of two sets of 15 reps and remember consistency is key.
