'Rescue Ships' Campaign Launched in Fayoum Governorate Schools

The major campaign of “ Marakeb El-Nagah” (Rescue Ships) has been launched in Fayoum Governorate schools to raise awareness of the dangers and risks of illegal immigration. In this campaign, the Ministry cooperates with all the concerned agencies.

The campaign comes in the framework of president Abdel Fattah El Sisi directives to the ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs to coordinate with the concerned authorities and the administration of the World Youth Forum, to launch the "Rescue Ships" initiative to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration.

Minister Nabila Makram

The Minister of Immigration, Nabila Makram Abdel-Shahid, announced that the "Rescue Boats" campaign will start from Fayoum Governorate, and target prep and secondary school students, as well as the mothers to raise their awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration.

In the same context, Makram communicated with Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, the Governor of Fayoum who stressed that all means of support will be be provided to the presidential initiative.

Young people die before reaching

The minister also communicated with Dr. Maya Morsi, the head of the National Council for Women, to make use of the council’s participation in the campaign.

In the same context, Makram said that after agreeing with the "WellSpring" Foundation, specialized in setting up camps and educating children, she immediately began preparing proposals for simplified activities and programs for school students; these programs clarify the risks of illegal immigration.

Makram added that she will go on tours with the Foundation’s staff in Fayoum Governorate schools next week, with the aim of motivating these children and encouraging them to reject and combat the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
