SUNA: Sudanese Armed Forces Confirm Response to Rebel Forces Trying to Control Strategic Sites

Today, Saturday, the General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces said that forces are rebelling against the state and national sovereignty and that they are confronting an enemy trying to control strategic sites in the country.

As the Sudanese Armed Forces said, in a press statement published by the Sudanese news agency (SUNA), "To the masses of our proud people, the episodes of conspiracy and aggression against our country continue by the forces rebelling against the state and national sovereignty."

The statement added, "The armed forces have been waging since this morning the battle of truth and national dignity, and they have sacrificed their precious blood for the sake of national dignity, and we will be victorious, God willing."

The statement continued: "Our forces are confronting the enemy at these moments, which is pushing its forces from its bases scattered throughout the capital, in attempts to control strategic sites, including the Republican Palace, the General Command, and the headquarters of the President of the Sovereignty Council.
