US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that the two-state solution is the only key to achieving long-term stability in the Middle East.

In an interview with Al-Hurra American Satellite TV channel, Sullivan added that "the future in the Middle East that brings peace and security to the region and to Israel begins with the establishment of a Palestinian state," noting that "the two-state solution must be accompanied by ensuring Israel's security through its integration into the region alongside its neighbors."

He explained that the United States worked on this goal before the October 7 events.

Sullivan pointed out that "reaching this requires us to end the war in Gaza in a way that protects Israel's security... This starts with reaching hostage deals."
