US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that US President Joe Biden believes that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve peace in the region.
In a press conference, he added that US will evaluate what Israel is doing in the Palestinian Rafah, noting that the need to reduce civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip was emphasized.
He explained that the principle of a two-state solution can be achieved through direct negotiations between the two sides, stressing that every country has the right to make the decision to recognize the Palestinian state.
He pointed out that it is not possible to continue withholding funding from the Palestinians any longer, expressing his hope for a breakthrough regarding this issue soon.
