US President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will visit Saudi Arabia and Israel at the end of the week.
A senior US official said on Tuesday that President Biden's administration had reached an understanding with the Israeli government regarding not expanding the scope of the military operation in Rafah before Sullivan's visit.
Sullivan will try to achieve progress on the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, according to a number of sources.
