A specialized training workshop focused on advancing child development practices in Sudan began today in Cairo.
Organized by the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) in partnership with the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), the three-day workshop is training over twenty Sudanese professionals in implementing modern child socialization techniques. Participants represent sectors such as education, media, and civil society.
The workshop is part of the ACCD’s initiative to promote the "Hope Education Model," which aims to modernize child development across the Arab world. The program is based on international child rights standards and the latest educational research. It encourages critical thinking, creativity, and self-awareness in children, helping them reach their full potential and preparing them for future societal contributions.
Dr. Hassan El-Bilawi, Secretary-General of the ACCD, noted that this is the fourth workshop of its kind, following successful sessions in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The program seeks to empower professionals to apply this innovative model, addressing the shortcomings in traditional Arab socialization methods.
The workshop will involve discussions on child socialization challenges in the Arab region and explore new strategies to foster a generation of citizens ready for the demands of a rapidly evolving global society.
