Sudanese Army Issues Statement on Clashes with "RSF"

The Sudanese Armed Forces stated on Thursday that the operational situation throughout Sudan, and all cities and military areas are stable and calm, except for parts of the capital rand the city of El-Obeid in North Kordofan state.

The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces indicated that "The Rapid Support Forces 'rebels' continued to violate the declared truce since the morning, by attacking the Bahri military area at dawn, were they were defeated and suffered heavy losses."

It added, "The enemy tried at midday today to attack the central capital district command in Khartoum, and our forces successfully confronted it, and currently our forces completely control it."

It stated: "The city of El-Obeid and the leadership of the Fifth Infantry Division (Haggana) were subjected to a treacherous attack by the rebels during the day, and the enemy was crushed and suffered heavy losses, and the Haggana are currently chasing the enemy's remnants outside the city."

It warned that "rebel gatherings are being monitored in areas in Bahri and east of Khartoum, and they are being followed closely, and our forces are fully prepared to confront any new attack."

"The terrorist practices of the rebels also continued, by looting commercial banks and shops. They also seized the maternity hospital in Omdurman, expelled the patients and turned it into a military site. They also disrupted the work of the Central Medical Supplies Authority, which led to the suspension of medical supplies throughout the country."

"As part of the widespread sabotage of service facilities in the country, the rebels forced some engineers to disable the main control stations for electricity and water, which were cut off from large areas of the country, and the competent technical teams working on preserving them."
