"Hydro One" Electricity Corporation reported that strong winds blew in the Canadian province of Ontario which cut off electricity for more than 280,000 houses and facilities.
"Hydro One" Corporation, which supplies about 1.4 million customers with electricity region, indicated that "the power returned to some of the affected people at a later time," noting that it expects more malfunctions until the wind speed calms down.
Although electricity has been resorted to about 78 thousand customers, another 210 thousand are still without electricity.
On its part, Environment and Climate Change Canada warned of winds in the southern regions of Ontario, indicating that wind speeds are expected to reach 120 km per hour.
