A massive state of controversy was sparked recently after the belongings of veteran actor Ahmed Zaki has been sold, an action which caused anguish and angered many, who demands that these belongings should be kept in a museum.
The controversy began after the half-brother of late actor Haitham Ahmed Zaki received his legal inheritance and sold the property of the late actor, which included the selling of Ahmed Zaki office with all of its contents.

Ashraf Zaki
Head of the Actors' Syndicate, actor Ashraf Zaki in a phone-in with TV anchor Wael El-Ebrashy, on the "Ninth" program broadcast on Egyptian state-owned channel one, revealed that Haitham’s apartment contained many letters that belonged to Ahmed Zaki.
The contents also included many documents and clothes from Zaki's film characters, which included the belongings of film “Days of Sadat”.
He revealed that counselor Bilal Abdel-Ghani Sayed, the lawyer of Rami Barakat, Haitham half-brother, promised him after Haitham’s death that no one would dispose of his belongings.
Zaki confirmed that he had contacted the lawyer and that he would sue him.
Ahmed Zaki's Manager
Mohamed Watany, Ahmed Zaki's manager revealed that the office was sold for EGP 800 thousand which included all the film scripts of Ahmed Zaki.
"The heir is not of blood, and this was something okay to do." Watany denounced.
Furious sister
Mona Attia Jumaa, sister of the Ahmed Zaki, made a rare appearance, expressing her anger at the sale of her brother's belongings, which are considered to be a priceless legacy.
She stated in an interview with El-Ebrashy on his program that she wants to put all her brother's belongings in a museum, and will not take them.
“It is not right to treat my brother’s history that way," she said.
"Ahmed Zaki property belongs to all Egyptians. How can this be tolerated?" Jumaa added.
She revealed that she contacted Dr.Zaki and asked him to retrieve his personal belongings.
"We asked only for my brother belongs," she pointed out.
