Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), said that there is an intention to expand the scope of military support that Ukraine receives, which will bring it closer to NATO membership.
In a press conference with Lithuanian president, Stoltenberg said the alliance will work to increase military aid to Ukraine, and will strengthen the deterrence system in the eastern part of the alliance territory.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the member states of the alliance will discuss the path of Kiev's accession to NATO, adding that the Ukrainian president will attend NATO summit.
