On Monday, Starbucks, the world's largest coffee chain, said from its headquarters in Seattle, Washington, that it is completely withdrawing from Russia after 15 years.
Starbucks said it would suspend "all commercial activities in Russia, including shipping Starbucks products," and that its brand would no longer exist.
"We condemn the unprovoked, unjust, and horrific attacks on Ukraine by Russia, and our hearts go out to all those affected," Kevin Johnson wrote on the Company's website.
It is noteworthy that the company banned all commercial activities in Russia in early March. It is represented in Russia since 2007 and until recently it had 130 branches with about 2,000 employees.
the giant coffee said it will continue to pay employees for six months and help them find new jobs. It did not reveal any details about the timetable of this step of financial details.
