Saint Catherine city witnessed heavy snowfall, on Saturday, and the temperature was recorded below zero amid extremely cold weather.
Major General Talaat Al-Anani, the mayor of Saint Catherine, said: "The city has been exposed to a very cold weather that affected the general condition."
Moreover, Al-Anani pointed out that they issued weather warnings, affirming that the necessary measures had been taken to confront the dire weather.
Nevertheless, tourists from all over the world have enjoyed the fascinating view as the snow-covered city looked breathtaking.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has revealed that varying levels of rain and possible thunderstorms are expected over many parts of the country.
Some areas in the Suez Canal cities, Sinai, the Red Sea governorate are expected to see moderate rainfall on Sunday.
Light rainfall is also expected in western coasts, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt, according to EMA.
