On Thursday, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that it will push the European Union to adopt new policies to support the Palestinians' hopes to have a state.

Spain told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "It is in Israel's interest to work for peace. And today peace means the establishment of the Palestine state."

Sanchez highlighted that the military attacks by the Israeli forces against Palestinians after the events of October 7 are "truly unbearable".

Palestinian authorities announced that 14100 people have been killed by the Israeli attacks.

Sanchez also supported the two-state solution.

The Spanish Prime Minister said his foreign policy priority will be to "work in Europe and in Spain to recognize the Palestinian state".

Sanchez will pay a visit to Egypt and he will be accompanied by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo, as Belgium country will succeed Spain as the EU President on January 1.
