On Thursday, the 4-astourant SpaceX Crew-3 mission departed the International Space Station in a trip back home.
Commander Raja Chari, pilot Thomas Marshburn, submariner-turned-astronaut Kayla Barron and European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer are coming back to Earth using the Crew Dragon Endurance.
Chari said before heading off: "Station, (this is) Endurance," adding: "Thanks for the warm send-off. Good luck to Expedition 67, it was great being up there with you guys. Can't wait to see the awesome work you guys continue to do."
SpaceX Crew-3 received a response from the Crew-4 who joined ISS early this week, saying: "
"Endurance, we appreciate the kind words," Crew-4 commander Kjell Lindgren replied from the station, continuing: "We had a great time handing over with you all and look forward to seeing your smiling faces on the ground."
SpaceX Crew-3 was the third longest space mission deployed to the ISS as the members of it spent six months in the station.
