The health authorities in South Korea recorded nearly 70 new Omicron cases yesterday, which is the highest daily toll since the mutation outbreak.
The health authorities reported about 69 new cases of the new mutation yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of cases of the mutant to 445.
Among the newly recorded cases, 94 were locals and 20 were from abroad.
Among the cases that came from abroad, 15 were from the United States.
Today's toll is the highest since the outbreak of Omicron in South Korea.
